Often times tree and grass roots share the same soil. In those cases, is there a fertilization procedure to adequately fertilize the lawn without overstimulating tree growth? Especially in fall.
Heavy nitrogen fertilization is never really good for trees, but especially when it causes growth that can't harden before winter.
Would spraying the N on the grass, rather than dropping it, make any difference? What about frequently spraying in small doses?
