Yellowing of alberta spruce on the inside?

I got a couple of 4-5' tall alberta spruce planted two years ago, it's 98% green on the outside when you spread them apart and look on the inside the needles are all yellow, is this normal?

I too had the same problem but it doesn't seem to be an indicative of serious problem. It may happen due to seasonal changes.
