Black walnut anthracnose
So I've been trying to identify the trees on my property and looks like I have quite a few black walnuts two of which are in the future yard area. I've noticed that they have been losing leaves awful early. Yellow leaves with spots continue to rain down since end of July. I think this may be walnut anthracnose. I've heard application of high nitrogen fertilizer in spring can cure it. Do I fertilize just like I would grass or do I have to do something special to target the tree? Also, could it be something else like the tree declining or dying?
