Suppressing Sweetgum Tree Balls

Post by Turk » March 2nd, 2021, 5:30 pm

Has anyone ever tried using a chemical to suppress sweetgum ball formation in a sweetgum tree (Liquidambar styraciflua)? I've surrounded by these blasted trees, including two huge sweetgum trees in the DEAD CENTER of my front yard that make a horrid mess, and another large one on the edge of my back yard. :banghead:

I'm looking at this "Snipper" injector by Tree Tech as a DIY attempt to keep these trees from littering my yard next winter.

Thanks in advance,

Turk.

No, but if it works, let me know. I have one that drives me a bit nuts.
