A little color at last

These little crocuses popped out today. Good to see after a long, cold winter.

Point #1: I hate you. :-)

Mine are sprouted but not yet thinking about blooming. That's not far behind though. Temperatures hold in the fifties through the week, extremely unusual for March here. Sprout's coming up all over.

Those are some nice pics RC! I'm jealous. I'm in the same boat as morph. I've got sprouts coming up but it's not blooming yet.

It's good to know that spring is getting close!

Wow - I'm envious. We still have 6" - 18" of snow on the ground (depends on the amount of shade) despite several days of high 50's. I would give a lot to see more than clean snow, dirty snow and broken branches. I'm dying to get outside.

"I hate you" - Ha! FWIW, I live in the Texas Panhandle and I usually say the same thing about the guys south of me in Texas where their growing season is already in full force. On the other hand, our weather can swing so radically here it is not even funny. Yesterday in the north part of our "tv viewing area" they got 5 to 7 inches of snow. So, I wouldn't bet we don't join you more northern guys under a blanket of snow yet.

Glad ya'll enjoyed the pics. I should have some tulip pics to share in the not too distant future. Weather willing.

First crocus bloom was yesterday! Mine are only second year, so they're kind of small and rare, but I'll take a photo.

Of course, our weather swung instantly from February to late April, so I guess I'm not surprised. The iris reticulata is getting ready as are some of the earlier snow tulips.

I don't hate you any longer. :-) But yes, I feel the same about the Philadelphia area, which goes earlier than I do. And I suppose most of central NY feels the same about me.

Everything runs down hill, right?

But, hey, when they are sweating in the hot summer, us guys in somewhat cooler climes won't be quite as envious of them then, eh? ;)

And, I'll probably be "hating" on you guys that live where it actually rains if our drought kicks back in this summer.
