How the Hell Do I Dress for This?

Post by andy10917 » January 19th, 2019, 8:08 pm

I know I'm ranting, but how in the hell do I dress to be outdoors in the next few days?

Our temps are not to that extreme. But we are seeing similar swings. We are on the line between rain and snow for this storm. I’m hoping for rain.

Zero degrees this morning with a 26 mph wind. That makes the wind chill number come out to -25 degrees. No longer thinking about what to wear outdoors much.

Only got 4" of snow from the "big storm" (ha!), but half an inch of ice of top of it made cleanup very tough.

How did you do with the storm and now the brutal cold?

I'm pretty sure it's shorts weather as long as it's above 0F.

Yet another weather swing. I was just out shoveling snow and the wind was brutal. But 15 degrees or so as the high tomorrow, and then 20s the next day, and maybe 50 next week.

-4F degrees here this morning, although the wind has died down somewhat. It was much worse at 2 degrees F last night, with a 20 mph wind after the snow. Salt is useless at these temperatures, and even Calcium Chloride is struggling to keep the skating rink sloped driveway passable.
