You've Got to Pay Attention to the Weather...

Post by andy10917 » June 16th, 2021, 7:08 pm

I might need an extra sweater on Saturday - the weather forecast shows that around 8am the temperature drops rather sharply to -460 F -- (BELOW ABSOLUTE ZERO). BRRR!!! For those that survive that, it will return to a balmy 80 F around 5pm. I may wait until then to go out and mow the lawn.

I'm glad I don't live in New York. Here we have two tough days coming up. One day of isolated T-storms, followed up with scattered T-storms. I think the weather men and women get bored and sneak things in to see if anyone is paying attention.

I suggest that, for periods of negative temperature and negative molecular motion, you employ going backwards in time to create positive temperature.

Yesterday (Tuesday), Salt Lake City tied the all time high temperature. Not the record high temperature for the date. The record high temperature ever.

107.1, so people in Phoenix are laughing.

We broke a record week before last--93--but only for the date. Our all time record high (and I had to look it up) was 104.0°. July 23, 2011. We've tied it four times now.

Yesterday it was 115 degrees in Las Vegas.

They played Ice Hockey last evening (really).
