Hosta situation...

Post by Green » April 27th, 2018, 12:10 am

Captain, we have a Hosta situation...

Ok, I accidently got Tenacity on the emerging tips of a Hosta that were at ground level. I dropped what I was doing, and immediately ran to get water to spray on it to rinse it off the tips, and to dilute and help it run off the mulch before too much soaked into the soil.

That leads me to ask...should Hosta be fertilized when the tips are emerging from the ground?

I think you'll be OK with the Hosta.

I generally fertilize them after they unfurl.

I remember an old post where a member repeatedly sprayed his hostas with Roundup, he could never kill them. Still unsure why he didn't just dig them up.

Agree with Andy

I never saw a post that they could stand up to RU. I doubt they could.

Greenrebellion, have you been sniffing the Weed-B-Gon bottles again?
