I'm tempted to say that looks somewhat like a Bear, as it looks like a very-large claw working both vertically and horizontally to get at something (WTH is he looking to get at?). I asked my wife what she thought and she picked Bear also. I know Yorktown (I used to work in Somers) but whether Bears are denizens of the area is beyond my knowledge.
If it's a Bear, it is far over your head to deal with personally.
