Driveway Repair: Anyone Used "Aquaphalt" Product?
I've got 350 ft of driveway that wraps around the house from and to the street. On the long sides, there are major trees to 60'-70' tall, and we all know what the roots of big trees can do to the driveway.
Most of the driveway is fine and will last another 3-5 yrs, but I have one pothole spot around 5-6 sq ft where it has cracked and then gotten undercut (I'm on a hill). The asphalt guys don't want to be bothered with it (or charge crazy to make it worth their time). I found a product called "Aquaphalt" that won the Consumer Reports test by a lot, and I'm considering using it.
Has anyone used it and if so, how did it hold up?

I haven't used it, but am also looking to repair a spot of chipmunk damage in the driveway!
I am NOT keen on chipmunks!

I spent some time reading a whole bunch of reviews, etc., on this product. From online reviews, etc., it sure sounds like the bee's knees.
Maybe I'll try it out within the next week if I can find a container of it at a local ACE hardware which has it in stock. May need to wait a bit longer if it needs to be ordered.

I'm getting three 3.5 gallon containers today. I'll take pix if I get to that project by end of day.

I got to the job, but in cleaning out the area it turned out that all the loose stuff made the job 3X bigger than I expected. So, job is half-finished, but I'll update on how the 3 buckets cure.
When estimating your job, realize that I paid $38.69 a bucket, and HD is doing it special-order for like $97. I have no clue what that's all about, but prices are all over the board.

Curious as to where you found it for $38.69 a bucket? The best price I've seen online anywhere is ACE hardware, at $49.99 per bucket. Did you have a coupon for your ACE hardware or some other sort of sale?

Nope. It was a hardware store in Nanuet, NY. It seemed they were shuffling stock between one store and another, and the owner kind of indicated he's not going to continue to sell the product (I got the feeling it was a slow mover).

I have a similar driveway with some cracking issues and this looks like great stuff. I have tried all manner of patching and sealing with poor results. Anxious to see how yours turns out.

Curious as to how this repair turned out -- the chipmunks still haven't fixed the driveway damage they caused, so it seems like we're going to have to do so...

Trips every week to Los Angeles, vacations and work on BLUEHANDMATT and SLYDER27's houses have kept my a bit on the busy side. The areas that were completed are great, and even the Mrs. is enthusiastic.

Thanks for the update. From what I read online after your posting, it seems that the "Aquaphalt" is the way to go for driveway repairs...
I'm glad to hear of your first-hand success experience.

After it has a period to harden, it is ridiculously strong compared to other "cold patch" products.
