Potatoes
Hey guys a quick question. I have been growing potatoes in my garden since I was a kid. This year I'm trying something different. I found an old feed bin at a garage sale and have been growing them in it this year. The plants are tall and everything looks good so far. Im worried as the trough is a dark green. With the temp starting to rise am I looking for trouble? It is 8 ft long by 2 ft wide by 3 ft tall.

Re: Potatoes
Just giving this a little attention to let it run to the top one more time so some experience might see it.
My first year with potatoes, so I really don't know. I'm growing mine in bushel baskets.
But I do know that growing them in any number of raised containers is very popular. So it must not be too big a problem.
I would just make sure you had good drainage, and water deep and however often enough it takes to keep the soil evenly moist. Not too wet, not too dry.
Good luck! Hopefully someone that really knows sees this and can weigh in.
