"bulbous" vegetables

Post by rlb » September 10th, 2014, 8:13 pm

This year is our (wife and I) first try at gardening. We've learned a lot along the way, and hopefully next year will be better!

We had 2 cucumber plants which started off great but after picking a few production came to a halt and then 2 or 3 bulbous cucumbers were produced. I eventually yanked the plants to free up resources for others in the garden.

A quick search suggests potassium deficiency for the cucumbers. A week or 2 later, one of my 2 pole beans started producing bulbous beans also. Could this be the same reason? I can't seem to find any info about the beans
