The first picture shows what looks to be like Slug damage -- up here in NY it's still quite early for slugs, but I don't know when Slug activity starts in TN.

The problems on the others isn't clear. Other than a ripped leave in #2 I don't see much wrong, but #3 could be a loss.

If it is slugs you might want to try diatomaceous earth......I sprinkle around the hostas all summer. I do wear gloves and a mask. You don't want to breath this stuff in.

Mmmm..maybe try that! I had considered getting the slug pellets, but may try this instead.
