Not specifically related to irrigation, but when do you guys shut down your outside faucets (i.e. shut off the water to them in the basement and drain them)? Next week it's looking to be as low as 28 one night.

I’ve already done mine. But that’s because I do it when I disconnect hoses.

I'm a little late, but did it this morning. I've had to pay to replace too many times :). For the less initiated, I turn on the inside shutoff valve off and open the outside faucet.

I turned mine off over a week ago, kept them off during the extreme cold, but then turned them back on the other day, and am not in a rush to turn them off again just yet (maybe another week)...I still need to wash stuff out.

Finally turned them off again a few days ago. Had one fail slightly...slight leak now while it's off. Going to have the plumber come in the Spring to fix it. They're supposed to be the type that don't need to be shut off in Winter. So much for that...but who knows, it might have happened even if I had turned it off already.

Never, and even when I lived in Dayton, never. I don't think my Dayton house had that option.
