Adjustable sprinkler heads

Post by tedtoal » June 20th, 2019, 8:04 pm

I often have cases where a standard "rainbird-style" sprinkler head (for a pop-up sprinkler) just doesn't work, no matter which pattern it is or even if it is the adjustable type. For example, I now have a situation where I want a spray to the left and a spray to the right, but the right side should fan out at about 55 degrees while the left side needs to be only about 25 degrees.

My question is, does a more fully adjustable sprinkler head exist, that allows for two independent adjustable arcs (and adjustable spray height independent of pressure/water volume adjustment)? I haven't seen anything like this, but it seems like such an obvious product and one that shouldn't be too hard to design, that I figure there must be one somewhere. Has anybody seen anything like this?

I have rain bird adjustable rotors mostly.

Set the edge to 0 and the angle to 80 degrees.

My rainbords unscrew at the top to set the edge (0 degrees). Then I just adjust it as far as it needs to go.

Need a shovel and a small flat blade screwdriver.

I don't know of any heads that allow two adjustable arcs. I think your only option is two install two heads - one for each arc.

I read that as needing to pivot left 25 degrees and right 55 degrees from the end point. You need 2 arcs not one?

Me, too. I'd love to get some clarification from the OP. Otherwise, this seems silly. Since left and right are relative, how is this any different from just needing an 80° arc?

I assumed there is a small narrow spot between two garden beds or something like that so OP would need coverage for 0-55 and 180-205 with no spray coverage in between them from 55-180 and 205-360. Otherwise why the question?

OP only has one post so who knows if they are coming back.
