Chicken Fried Steak

Post by dfw_pilot » August 4th, 2015, 12:38 am

Stopped in to my favorite place for chicken fried steak ("country" fried steak for yankees) which is Mary's in Strawn, Texas.

It came with fries, salad, bread, and gravy. My wife had to roll me to the car . . .

I just my chicken biscuit with egg and cheese. That's a man sized biscuit I tell ya. I don't ever get their sweet tea because I'm obsessed over their Patio Cherry Soda

The Bojangles around here have all replaced the Patio Cherry with Cheerwine but you can't go wrong with either of them as far as I am concerned. The Cajun Filet biscuit with cheese and egg is a beast and definitely a man sized meal!!!!!

Got to thinking about it this morning and had to stop and get the chicken fillet with egg and cheese and a Patio Mountain Dew . There is one about a mile from work so wasn't too far out of the way.

Mmm
