Drainage for Leaders
Just had new leaders installed and looking for ideas on how to drain. The soil is very sandy, just want to get the rain water away from the foundation. I had french drains running into dry wells before but they are no longer working. What are other solutions to this problem? I am going to renovate the lawn also so now is the time to dig.
Thanks for your input.

Re: Drainage for Leaders
I just buried 4" flexible pipe and have them terminate 10'-15' away from the house using NDS pop up drains. Works great and saves me from having to mow around something.

2nd NPS drain products. They make a variety of catch basins and pop up emitters that work especially well for your application.

I have PVC instead of the corrugated pipe, but same idea. Get it away from the house, and use an NDS pop-up emitter. If it ever gets clogged with leaves/rocks/mulch/silt, you'll be very happy you chose PVC but the corrugated tubing is usually cheaper.

I'm with rtomek, use PVC if at all possible.

Re: Drainage for Leaders
I'm looking to do the same. What grade of PVC should you use for underground work?
