Help to recover winter damage

Post by Kathy56 » November 16th, 2016, 7:25 am

Hello all,
I am maintaining a lawn and this is my first experience. It's going on well now, but I would like to know how to recover my lawn after this winter. I read many article and I have planted winter flowers and crops in my garden. So what shall I do after winter?? I read got few tips online (http://www.heritagehomedesign.ca/blog/g ... ng-summer/), but I would like to hear your personal experience. How do you usually overcome winter damages??Any suggestions regarding this are greatly welcomed. Thank you.

Personally, I have some winter damage, but I didn't feel like fixing it, so I just went ahead with my schedule of pre-emergent, and I'll go ahead with my first dose of milorganite over the memorial day weekend. I'm just going to wait things out and see how the grass fills in. If some areas end up needing a little help once temps are warmer and the grass is really grooving, then I'll break out some seed and fill in those spots. It all really depends on how aggressive you want to be.

Do you have a photo of the damage?
