Tried comparing some pictures online and looks like maybe yellow nutsedge.

Maybe, does it have a triangular base/stem? If so, then its nutsedge.

Definitely sedge. Check out the seed head in the pic

You're probably dealing with annual sedge. Look closely at the seedhead to verify.
