Was just thinking about this while planning out my strategy for next spring.
Should preemergent be watered in -very lightly- in predominantly sandy soils? I'm estimating my soil at around 75% sand and very miniscule amount of clay, based on the jar/water test. I'm just wondering if the faster drainage in a sandy soil type would cause the chemical barrier to drop too low in the soil, possibly thinning out the potency/coverage, and reducing the effectiveness after working in a half inch of water on it.
Am I just over-thinking this?
Any thoughts/experiences with this?
