No need, as stated before. I put down some Milorganite two days ago, knowing full well 2-4 inches of rain was coming. Guess what? I got 4 inches yesterday. Even if you're on a hill, the grass will likely have trapped most of it.

This is off topic but...
(i'm telling myself that my minor OCD is causing me to type this response)
The geometry of a tapered container when used as a rain catch will give you a severely misguided representation of rainfall.
It looks like you weren't concerned with exact amounts though. Just don't use that container to calibrate your sprinklers!
