Leaving fertilizer in the car in this heat
So I picked up a bag of Milorganite early this morning and have to leave it in the heat in my car. Is there any concern about it baking in the car here in Tennessee?
This could be a regular problem for me; we've had some Milo shortages and it is easier for me to go pick it up early and I suspect my co-workers would be upset with me if I brought it into work... ... if you know what I mean.

They make Milorganite by baking it in an oven, so no, it won't hurt it in your car.

I think they might be more upset if you're driving the carpool today.

Thanks guys... I cant wait to get back to the car today.
On a different topic anyone have quick solutions for garage storage? My missus doesn't tolerate when it comes to scents and I could just see her face if I put together a stockpile.

I guess that's another reason I don't use it. I can't stand chemical smells from the -icides. I could tolerate the Milo smell but would rather have both garage doors open to ventilate. I use alfalfa and corn meal to fertilize.
Try keeping the milo in a sealable bin like a Rubbermaid tote.

Search for my posts with the keyword "garage". I noted that the smell of Milorganite was only prevalent the day that I stacked it. As long as the stack remained undisturbed, up to 100+ bags at a time, there was no smell. Note that this was a basement garage.
