Post seeding: timing of prodiamine and imidacloprid apps

Post by Dargin » May 21st, 2019, 10:57 pm

I did some spot seeding for someone this spring. I want to get a 2 month app of prodiamine down as soon as I can. I'm waiting 60 days from seeding. This will bring me to the end of June, the same time I should be applying (acording to my local extension) the imidacloprid I have for grub control. I think the grub treatment is needed based on the numbers I saw in late April.

Does the idea of these two apps in the same week sound like it could be too much stress on the new grass, or even the established grass for that matter?

I cant find any warnings on the imidacloprid label pertaining to newly established grass.

You should be fine on the Imidacloprid.

The prodiamine is normally fine at 60 days as long as its mature enough.
