I'm in the transition zone, never had moles before but have a few now. Haven't used GrubEX in a couple years. Can't see any tunnels but there are just a few hills.
We had a crazy amount of japanese beatles this summer, I suppose that's the problem now.
Any ideas on what to do before it gets bad?

Re: Winter Moles
Well, assuming you have moles and not voles, you can try using a mole trap.

Re: Winter Moles
I have battled moles for many years. Both of the houses I have owned in the last 25 years are in rural areas surrounded by crop fields. I have tried all types of traps, baits, etc. The best thing I have found is this style trap. My local Rural King sells them but Amazon and others have a similar design. I have never had the trap go off and not catch a mole. If you find an active tunnel and they pass through you will get it. The first year I used it I killed 11 moles. Since then I get a couple a year.
