Too much rain for PreM?

Post by PSU4ME » March 26th, 2024, 7:12 am

We are looking at 1-2” of rain Wednesday into Thursday….. looks like it’ll rain over a good 15-20 hour period. Doesn’t “look” torrential but who knows

Timing wise I need to get my prodiamine down and I just raked up 12 bags of pine cones last night to prep the yard.

Is that much rain a problem to water in the preM?

PreM is strongly binding, so it should be OK as long as the first quarter inch or so isn't a torrent. If you suspect it even might be, hold off. About the only thing to worry about is runoff initially or erosion of soil.

Thanks Morph, got it down today - the incoming rain looks manageable so I let it fly.
