He is not the most interesting lawn man in the world.

We are. :-)

We wrassle P. annua with our bare hands and a sprayer of bottle brush extract.

We haul tons of organic material at one time.

We laugh in the face of Scott from Scott's.

We do NOT feed our lawn, feed it, with synth ferts multiple times in spring.

We do NOT seed our lawn, seed it, at the worst times possible.

We are the most knowledgeable lawnites on earth.

You're at the top of the Eiffel tower and you ask your wife if she thinks any of your friends would go syringe the lawn.

When a seed distributor uses a picture of your lawn to show as an example :yahoo:

I actually ran across a picture of my backyard lawn on a seed distributor site (not one that I was previously familiar). I'm assuming that they borrowed it from here which is fine as I know anything posted on the internet could end up anywhere. Still very funny and will add to my list of stories to use with my wife when she asks what I was doing outside (latest one was someone that came to the house to do some work and mentioned "we also have a lawn service, but I see that you certainly don't need us.")

Very nice! They should have let you know they used your photo, though.

When you're on vacation and you spend your whole time looking at lawns and how they compare to ones from back home.

A trip to Disney made me realize I'm not a huge fan of Bermuda, but it's EVERYWHERE.

When your wife and 4 year old call you from Disney to tell you that everything is mowed WAY too high out there. :rotfl:

So you may not have seen a very good representation of the grass......Per my 4 year old. :rotfl:

Haha, very true. Some lawns in Celebration were rocking 4"+ Bermuda, but looked greener than some of the shorter stuff next to it.

Any idea why I often saw a different type in open fields? Not sure what type it was, but was much thinner and more of a lime green.

When you stand in the laundry aisle for ten minutes trying to find a cheap, boron-free option for the BL Soil Conditioner.

When, in 90 degree weather with dang near 80% humidity, you push mow north to south, and realize you missed a few stragglers (4 or 5 blades on over the whole lawn) so you mow east to west. and then say "eff it" and mow in a concentric circle starting from the exact center of the front lawn just for the effect. then you walk two blocks in both direction so you can see the pattern in all its glory.

When you call as many landscaping companies as you can to see if they will dump leaves in your driveway by the metric ton because you don't think that you can score enough by simply begging the neighbors.

done both. twice.

Probably because it takes less fertilizer, watering and mowing. Lime is beautiful.

You're a BL'er when you stop in the middle of a golf course fairway to explain to your sons how to properly identify Nutsedge, and you use your greens-repair tool to dig up a nutlet or two.
