Well i did do the common mistake using concrete, But I did know what i was doing I knew to use gravel but i did not. I used concrete for the ease of it. I don't plan on staying here longer than five years (but you never know) I am doing a six foot privacy fence. I am not buying panels. I will be putting each picket up so as the hill goes up so will the fence. That way i will not have the stepping up of the fence you are talking about. I was going to make the fence straight but i would have a six foot fence up front and a 3 foot fence in the back.

Did a pumpkin explode all over your old car?
Sorry, if it has four wheels, an engine, and gets decent gas mileage, I'm happy and think no more about it...

Wanna race my RX-8??? Mountain course, of course - you'll kick my butt in the straightaways, but I'll get you in the curves. I know - my business partner has the G35. Here's my ride (on the right) and my son's MazdaSpeed 3. You can race both. Warning: the MazdaSpeed is tweaked to within an eyelash of the law.

We'll challenge both of you. Just bring your registration and a pen - you'll be signing it over to us when we own you racing up the mountain in the background of the picture above. I'll even add my other son's Subaru WRX (tweaked) to the fun.

Re: Simpson's work in progress UPDATE ON STORY
I was just about to challenge you all and add that it had to be under snow conditions, but Andy ruined my fun.
Alas, I traded the WRX (modded) in for a Legacy GT... there is a real beauty with all-wheel drive. At least up here in Minnesnowta.

Re: Simpson's work in progress UPDATE ON STORY
Simpson your story is impressive! For a young man like you not being afraid to tackle all those huge projects says so much about your character! I don't know you, most likely never will, but I want you to know if you were my son, I would be bursting with pride for you. Be proud of yourself, Boy, you deserve it! Even with our mistakes we gain so much valuable knowledge. You know the saying, "experience is your best teacher" and I believe also a lesson never forgotten. Keep up the GREAT WORK!

Re: Simpson's work in progress UPDATE ON STORY
Wow thank you very much. I can have people tell me all the time that i work to hard, they are proud of me or wish they had the drive to do what i do. The weird part is that i always feel like i don't work hard enough, i could have done better, or I am never good enough. Thank you very much for the kind words.IwantItgreen wrote:Simpson your story is impressive! You are doing a fine job. Keep it up. I can't sit still for very long either. I like having a project going.. it looks like you're way ahead of me in the skills department though.

Please, take time to "smell the roses". They are soon withered and your work will always be there.simpson wrote:Wow thank you very much.
