Please ID this weed. It is a shallow-growing weed; with leaves coming up from nodes, akin to bermuda. The leaf texture is like felt; similar to russian sage and similar color.

thanks.

I wish. I sprayed it with Weed B Gon, Tenacity, Round up. It just kills the exposed leaf but not the root. WTF???

Great article. Very accurately describes it's behavior. Thanks so much.

I have it also, and I can't kill it and the dichlobenil as I was reading up on that actually scared me from using it.
So I don't really know how to kill it.

I also sprayed Roundup on the area and reseeded but I guess because I didn't spray my neighbor's yard to kill it, guess what, it came back.

I swear it just laughs at me.

Gary, but what kills it? If I have to use dichlobenil the few ways to apply it gives me the impression that everything will be killed like a roundup treatment, and at this point I don't have the opportunity to do a reseeding.

Thanks,
Bill

For mugwort the best thing would be something with dicamba. 2,4d doesn't do much to it on its own.

I'll have to look, I thought my WBG Max had dicamba in it and it really didn't do much to the mugwort.

You'll have to look at the label and see how much dicamba is in it. Depending on the percentages, there might not be enough dicamba in it to make a difference.
