FWIW, I got a metric cr@p ton of Poa Annua to germinate in July in my current reno effort by doing an extended fallow period and watering very aggressively. Watered 4 times a day, shallow, kept soil moist for weeks on end. My weather has been reasonable which probably helped (see below for weather during the fallow period).

Glad to hear that you got a whole bunch of poa annua to germinate through fallowing. That's one boatload of poa annua seeds you won't need to worry about any more!

Alas, this also means that your soil probably has many boatloads of poa annua seeds in it. However, you already knew that from last year's reno...

Hopefully a more aggressive Tenacity regimen starting at seed-down will give your new KBG a chance...

PGR has been shown to help battle poa by reducing seed head production before seed down and actively growing turf.
