More rain and crazy wind

My lawn was rocking a week but seems confused now after the cold weather and morning frost the other day

Lots of rain in NJ so far today. Might be more like Saturday unless it dries out quickly tomorrow.

Constant, light rain here the last week or so, which is perfect for my clay (Yes, clay!) soil. 5 days after my 3rd mowing, and it really needs a trim again. Too darn wet though, unfortunately. I'm actually thinking about applying the first inoculation rate of Serenade.

Other than spreading mulch the lawn has taken a back seat to the home renovation projects. I'm heading out today to spread pre-m, a little late, but not by much. The snow mold damage is disappearing quickly.

Amazing what a month can do, the left was taken at about the same time of day on March 4, the right was taken today.

That is amazing. Nice property.

Expecting 5 inches of snow here now. More than I had all winter and I have mowed 3 times.

Was able to get my clean up mow done. Mowed at 2.5". Equipment started up fine. I drained them all out of gas end of season. Although I'm not getting power from the blower. Feels like it is only at 70%. Might need to do a new gas/oil mix.

Pic 1/2 thru the mow. This is the time you can really tell that I have a mix. Some cultivars are fast to green up.. and others are still snoozing. :rotfl:

Looks good though E, glad to see you don't have all the POA I have in mine

Received my first order of ornamental grasses that I'm planting in front of my new fence, just in time for the snow tomorrow WTF. Any other time I would never get delivery on a Friday just in time for weekend planting.

Edged the front yard gardens. While I was doing it, it was cloudy, then windy, then it started to sleet, then the sun came out. I kept at it in spite of the weather.
I actually had to remove the banks of snow at the end of my driveway so I could edge it. Looking out now, it all melted.

Tomorrow going to get some bag mulch at Agway and refresh the gardens.

Plan on spraying some CCO on the chickweed etc that are showing their ugly heads. I'm thinking that, even though it isn't very warm, the fact that they are growing still, they need to be dealt with. :club:
or am I wrong and should wait for warmer weather?

Picked up my Milo from True Value. Temps supposed to warm up mid/late next week. Soil temps wavering in the mid/high 30s.

I did a 1,700sf reno of my sisters backyard. It's a long shot, but she was desperate for some kind of lawn for the summer. All I can hope for is the PR will germinate fast. Best thing about this reno is I don't have to loose sleep about keeping the seeds moist.

Behind a bit, but dropped Dimension and Mag-I-Cal on my lawn. Need to get by dads tomorrow to drop Dimension and seed some bare areas.
