Same here.
Dormant seeding just didn't work for me. The areas I tried to dormant seed did very little until I added new seed, peat moss and started watering daily. Now seedlings are sprouting everywhere.

Now I'm watching my neighbor do things to her lawn. She's the one telling people my lawn is all chems lol. I am puzzled as to what she is doing because she pushed a spreader all around the yard dumping a lot of something. Then stopped and continued to shovel it out with her hands. Now she is pulling weeds. I might go spray kelp help using my backpack sprayer and wearing goggles/gloves etc lol
Clueless neighbors who think they know everything but in reality don't know jack.
My problem neighbor accused me of spraying herbicides last year bc they had dead spots on their lawn with some along fence. There assumption was bc I am always outside doing something it must have been me...literally the next day I see the husband going around their property spraying weed killer
I'll be getting my backpack sprayer out this weekend to spray some Annua so just like the Matrix this has all happened before and will happen again

Congrats, Wis! I received one for Christmas, and I hope that you enjoy yours as I am mine. Yesterday, I mowed in bi-directional arcs, centered around our yard light post. It looks great, and really highlights the dead and dying triv areas.

I have a 4 year old elm in my front yard. Its mostly offset to the west. I do circles around that in opposite directions, and then when the circles get to big and run into my neighbors lawn, I keep the arcs going acroos the lawn to the east. Its a pretty neat pattern.

Five days since I dropped bewitched and holiday, there is no sign of germination, the waiting game continues...

Mowed the lawn, still not getting much top growth. I didn't add any fertilizer yet, maybe the grass is just growing at the roots.
Still Nice One! sign of my Tenacity spraying to pot the POA, I can see it plain as day, but its not doing nothing.
I gave up on the sections I format seeded. We have some rain coming up tomorrow, I am just going to reseed them and see if I can get some PR to fill in the gaps.

I hadn't planned on breaking out my sprinklers yet but looking at the extended forecast it looks like we are in for a big dry spell to end April. What a weird year so far. I may set up my makeshift irrigation system this weekend and start watering.

Mowed the side (to 3.25 inches) right before it got dark. It was too long.
Watered the overseed on the other side.
The other morning, I had the radio on while driving, and a local lawn service was being advertised. It said free crabgrass pre-emergent application if you called them soon. I literally blurted out aloud, "It's too late for that!". And immediately after I said that, the radio guy said, "It's not too late for that...they know!". LOL.

Spray some milk while wearing a respirator mask, then remove the mask and take a big drink, give her a wink, and put your mask back on like a boss.
hahahaa I did spray milk last year, not sure it did anything though (I sprayed half the yard to see if there was a difference) =P

Planted 28 Little Bluestem Standing Ovation pots along side fences and think/hope that's it for plantings this year but that will depend on if everything survives as the butterfly weed and bee balm I planted last week don't look too good.
Raised deck before cutting and still had to go over twice due to how high lawn was after last cutting Sunday. Normally I would have cut wed or thurs but had a busy week. Think I'm going to take mulch kit off Bobcat as clippings keep clumping under deck which wasn't happening before installing the mulch kit so I think I'll just try it with the chute blocker.
I have to spray the Annua this weekend as my backyard is littered with it.

Spot sprayed Tenacity (2 oz rate) on the front. It started raining about a half hour later, and is pretty humid. Hopefully it'll still work. Anyone know?

I've read some
posts that mentioned rain half an hour after spraying and the Tenacity still worked so you might be ok.

Man, this week I sold all my equipment from my old lawn. Got asking price for the timemaster + striper. Sold the spreaders for 50% more than I originally paid for them - used.
I've about broken even now on all the new equipment I bought for the new lawn.

Lawns are *finally* greening. Prepping and building the To-Do list today and firing up the irrigation systems -- it's been too dry for April.

The grass has been growing rather quickly here in the last two weeks. I keep trying to mow at a certain height but when I actually get to mow it's always one level up from there. Lots of poa annua and triv. But, not too many broadleaf weeds so I'm happy!

First Saturday after the grass greened, and a visit to Tractor Supply makes sure that I know it's Spring!! And then my luck just overflows...
