Hand pulled some dandelions. Will probably spot spray the rest tomorrow. Sometimes I like the instant removal but the lawn is thick now so it's getting harder to get the root out with it (or even find the center lol)

Plugged some suspicious looking grasses from my yard, cooked them for 2 hours at 550 to kill everything and then put them back in their holes afyer soaking in water to soften. Way less noticable then roundup.
Cut front yard. Waited a couple hours then staryed to put down primo and proxy but wind kicked up. Stopped spraying and will finiah when wind is more favorable.
Sprayed weeds in backyard half reno 2-4d and triclopyr mix. Was feeling good about it and then read some posts suggesting it may not be the best idea.

See if you can find a Stand Up Weeder like this. Says they are discontinued but I'm sure one can be found or something like it. I have one and if you hit the center will pull weed out nicely without a big mess.tlinden wrote:Hand pulled some dandelions. Will probably spot spray the rest tomorrow. Applied OceanGro at a smidge heavier than bag rate on the front. Started thinking about how I'm going to renovate the grassy areas around the backyard pool zone that is just about finished with its hardscaping and landscaping. Also planted some arborvitae and hosta in the back screen bed that I cleared out a few weeks ago.

Grubex went down, hopefully will make the raccoons find another dining spot this fall.

Measured height of lawn. It is barely just above my last HOC of 2.5". I'm amazed at how "freshly mowed" it still looks 5 days after using a PGR. Usually by this time, I would want to be mowing already.

Throw some alfalfa pellets down. That may add a little more to your impression.

Cut the lawn. I have been waiting for the grass to thicken up and get to 3", but don't seem to be cutting much at 3".
I gave in and lowered my mower to 2.5", still waiting for a spring flush. Maybe the Tenacity I sprayed to mark the POA messed that up.
I see way too much grubex still on the lawn, going to have to re-apply and water in 1" with the sprinkler.

Did test spots of certainty and pulled grass from around the maple bushes I planted last summer

It's mostly quack and it's moving faster than I am and yeah someone will build it within a year or two.
