I put down grub-ex again, but not counting on the rain this time. Watered it in good right away, between 0.5" today and what we get for rain tomorrow it should get watered in this time.

Mowed the back and put down cracked corn + alfalfa pellets. Got some video of it. My son came sneaking out while I was doing it so kinda funny. The cracked corn gives quite the spray pattern so it looks like a fun video if I can figure out how to edit it now =P

I had 6 yard of mulch deliver early this morning, I motivated the crew and we knocked it out in a few hours. Turned out great.

Put the gorilla cart together. Only 3 of the wheels touched. Exchanged it for another one and it was fine. Hooked it up to the tractor and took the kids for a ride in the rain. They loved it!

Sprayed Tenacity as pre/post-M on side at 3oz rate. Also sprayed garage side at same rate, but mostly as pre-M there (one pass without surfactant/one with). Cut the front and low-input area (2.75 in). Watered seed on garage side. Seed in low-input area is starting to come up.

On grandfather's lawn, mowed back, added more seed in front (PR/KBG mix), and raked area to be seeded.

We are supposed to get some rain tonight, put down a 2nd app of Dimension pre-m down in the hell strips that were all crab grass last year..

I have an experiment going, one half of the strips got sprayed with Tenacity and were over seeded, the other spotty sections just got Dimension. By the end of the summer Ill see if the grass fills in or not.

Seems to be very little top growth around here, it might be a while before I can tell.

Dropped 13-13-13 per soil test remediation plan. Noticed some rust on the fine fescue out front. We've been wet for a good while now and I think the 3.25 cut may be too long all things considered.

I had another 5 yard delivery of top soil, of which I trucked over about 3 yards to the other side of the lawn...in my resto area I addressed some grassy looking weed with RU and a cotton glove (over two nitrile gloves).

Decided to hit it now until I can get photos and feedback from the group on a better approach.....

Mowed the front lawn at 2".

Mixed 50 lbs of Milorganite with 26 lbs of 30-0-3 (7.5% slow release) plus 10 lbs of dried Intelligentsia coffee grounds, 20 tablespoons Borax, and 20 tablespoons copper sulfate.

The process smelled really good, like coffee, until the vitamin M had to be mixed. Once completed, I could feel and taste Milorganite dust on my lips.

Not one damn thing. been raining for a while and in hustling to get things done all week we actually had a sunny day today and things were caught up. Second pass with dimension next week. Cracked corn milo and companion after Mother's Day.

Like all the N. east coasters, enjoyed getting the rain, which really points out the stunted and missed areas of Certainty rd 1. This spring is absolutely ridiculous in regards to all the BS grassy weeds exploding. Almost thinking to myself, what's the point of a really nice lawn if it's spends so much time in an ugly state recovering from herbicides?

we got a lot of rain yesterday which I was not disappointed with as it was nice to have a somewhat relaxing day of nothing

the areas I sprayed last week are finally showing signs of death so Im hoping to seed this weekend and see how it fills in

Applied the 2nd application of MAP and SOP in-between the free rounds of irrigation. Finally located a source for spent coffee grounds: a little local coffee shop that gives me the grounds in 5-gallon plastic pails with lids :). I just have to promise to return the pails after I am done.

I had an interesting response when my I got a call-back from the local Whole Foods. They were more than willing to have me take the grounds off of their hands, but corporate put the kibosh on our plans, citing "liability concerns". I'm still scratching my head about that one.
