Cut the grass at 3.75" with my new tractor! Xt2 46fab.

Modified my 5gal gas can, sick of the crappie spouts and taking 4 ever to pour. I went and got a new pour spout with just a basic tube, then found a valve stem for a vehicle and drilled a hole in the can and removed the stem insert so air can come out. Works awesome!

Put down BSF at bag rate with SOP (2#/k) per my soil test.

Put down BSF at bag rate and TSP (2#/k) on my sisters lawn, spot sprayed quinclorac on some crab grass that snuck by the post-m Dimension app I put down a few weeks ago. I'm not sure I'd do a spring reno again, but her yard is looking 100% better for her summer cookouts and birthdays.

Shop vac'd 600 water balloon carcasses out of the lawn. The kiddos had a bday party and the theme was water.

Watered side front for 45 min this morning. And hand watered some areas there including hell strips.

Cut side and back (3.25 in) and furthest part of low-input area (3.75 in). The back was so long and thick that I had to go over some parts twice to cut up the clipping trails that were left every other pass.

Next time: Trim, finish mowing low-input area, spot spray Tenacity, continue applying organic fertilizer, apply SOP.

Note: program irrigation controller and adjust rain sensor.

Exactly 30 years ago this weekend, I saw my current home for the first time. After looking at cookie-cutter homes all day, the real estate person pulled into one more driveway. Ten feet into the driveway, I turned to my wife and said "uh-oh!". God must have wanted us to own it - the property peaks at exactly that time year after year.

Put down epsom salt and mag i cal. First time using both... Hope to see something change. How do you read Logan Labs soil test? They make it so difficult...

I feel like spring flush is just hitting here. It's very strange because it's been 70-80+ for several weeks now. Maybe because it's been so dry (but I irrigate?). I mowed Friday evening and had to mow again today - lawn has gone from mostly stemmy spring nastiness to full on growth mode and is getting very dense. Also this is our first year at the new place so I'll have to record (via this thread) odd findings and compare them to next year and see what changes if anything.

Mowed fall Reno section at 3.25, rest at 3.5. Trying to figure out what the tenacity bleached in my hell strip very very fine bladed.

The house doesn't look one bit like what it did in 1986.

I ment that by removing the valve core air can move freely through the stem.

Lawn is taking a beating from the dry and somewhat hot June. Looking at the history report over 7 inches of rain fell in June of 2015. So far we are halfway through the month and only 1 inch has fallen. What's worse? I don't see any rain in the forecast for the next 7 to 10 days.
