Ripped out an ugly bush in the corner of my yard I've been wanted to get rid of since I moved in. Feels great.

Got an email my Bullseye TTTF/Midnight KBG blend shipped from superseedstore. Using it to overseed in August.

Set my sprinklers to go off to deliver .5" tonight then a thunderstorm blew through and gave me exactly that! Timer is turned off. Loving these .5" storms we've been getting every few days.

Did not water today. Supposedly going to rain tonight.

Mowed lower part of back and closest 1/3 of low-input area. Trimmed around the back and the seeded area in low-input. Put down Tricure: 6 lbs on the main front and 3.75 lbs on the side.

Got 1" rain last night!

Only issue is I'd like to do a quick mow before company comes over today but it is still wet.

My grass still needs to be cut 2x per week.

I was at Bethel Woods (original "Woodstock" location) last night and the grounds were undulating on the hillside after that 1"+ thunderstorm. Water was in the soil, but on top of a harder layer.

Did all of the rain resurrect any old hippies?

Sprayed blsc/kelp help on the Reno area ahead of some rain.
If you are doing a Reno use a tracer with your glyphosate. I used it and still ended up a little embarrassed 6 days later.

Oh, my Lord. There were a few people there that looked like they had just wandered in off of the original field, which is now hallowed ground but not used for the concerts.

I swear the following is true:

At the original concert, many of the non-music PA announcements were about avoiding bad (tainted) drugs that were present.

Last night, there was an announcement that someone had forgotten/lost their cane.

Got 1/4 inch of rain or so at 1:30PM or so. I swapped a couple of nozzles in zones 1 and 2 and then ran the sprinklers for a bit since it was already wet. I'll have to set again for tomorrow morning if there's no more rain today.

Set zone 2 in the font (only) for another hour, and also zones 3 and 5 for an hour each tomorrow morning.

Pretty productive lawn day today. Trimmed hedges on the front. Trimmed, edged and mowed front and side. Lowered HOC in preparation for Reno. Was at 4" dropped it down to 3.5" today.

Mowed backyard, still at 3" there. Plenty of growth from all the rain we have been getting.

Continued to work on the front walkway area. Finished rounding off the existing paver border that was removed to make room for the new walkway "curve". Then started to grade the area under the window in prep for new plant bed.

Applied 32 lbs of 35-0-5 to the front 10k in addition to 5 bags of Encap lawn compost. Have Milo ready but want to avoid using it while it's hot and wet this week.

Touched up some bare spots with 'Right' KBG.

Hmm, so you dropped sythentic instead of milo when it's hot?

Yep. I'd rather not have the smell. I've had very few issues using this hybrid approach throughout the season in Northern MI. Plus, it doesn't get THAT hot here.
