Fleet Farm is having their annual sale this week, $5.99 per bag if anyone is in the upper Midwest.

Thanks, Fido. Will be making a stop to load up the trunk at least once on the way home this week.

Nice, what did you have to show them?

I had no issue with a price match at Lowe's. I just printed off the online sale page linked previously. Seemed like the only thing she wanted to check was that it was the exact same 36lb product.

Just heard back from my local true Value. He called first thing this morning, just like he said he would, to try and get me the online price and he did. 11 more bags will be at the store for me on Thursday. It's nice to have these great customer service stories to share. Lately it seems that most of them are negative. Keep the faith!

What is the trick to order the thing. there is no option online. it shows that it's for 6.99 but no option to add it to cart

Same with me last year, the (rhymes with witch) tried to tell me one was organic and one was not, blah blah blah. I ended up telling her to forget it and went to another register where the check out person had a functioning brain.

although i cant confirm this my assumption is that the ability to add to cart is removed once they sell out of what they have in stock or what they want to sell at that price point which happened fairly quickly on Friday.

Got an email this morning my bags were in at Tru Value and just picked them up and put in shed before the rain.

Glamour shot of my haul:

Yes, it shocked me it was there so quickly. There was another guy there picking his shipment up as well. Apparently the store doesn't stock Milorganite regularly.

I picked some up yesterday at the local TruValue store too for $6.99. One nice thing I noticed was they were stored on a pallet inside the store, so they weren't all covered in bird sh*t and other grime like the ones I usually get at HD and Lowes.

That's one good reason for buying 56 bags. It's your very own sealed pallet that no one else has messed with, including the birds.

Awesome, talk about backing up the Brinks truck! I never thought stockpiling Milo could be so much fun. I think I can speak for others here that a glam-shot is in order once you pick it up, one for the memory bank. Hahah

Since it is no longer available to add to the cart online I think you just need to call you local store and see if they can order it for you at that price. Sweet talk them a little bit of course.

Truth. Its all about who you talk to. Either you have to get someone who knows the actual policy or in my case, get lucky with an overworked employee who just doesn't care anymore.

Now, back to the warm(season) side.

Stockpiling for some, just what's needed for others. That's less than what I use in a year, and I don't even apply aggressively. I bought 56 last year and 80 the year before from the True Value sales, plus more from a local feed and grain store.

My local HD and Lowe's shot me down on price match today. My local True Value (30mi away) said that our region wasn't participating in this promotional sale. She went ahead and placed my order over the phone for the $6.99 price and my bags get here Thursday afternoon. Wahoo for great customer service!

My local TV stores say this promotion is going on until the end of April and they will get more stock in.
