Re: Milorganite sale
I dont have a TrueValue... could someone, once the sale starts ... take a picture of pricing or some advertising?
With that I can take it to my credit card company and ask for reimbursement for price matching...

You should be able to see the sale price on line and then use that. Maybe take a screenshot? I bought it online last year.

Re: Milorganite sale
Flowerland has it for $9.99 in MI. And I think Home Depot does too. I might hold out for the True Value sale again this year. I got it last year.

Re: Milorganite sale
I just picked up 6 bags at my Local Mendards for 5.98 each. I probably should go back and get 6 more.

Re: Milorganite sale
The Menards in the Indy area has a different price. It is still listed at 12.67 here. I wonder why they will have such a big difference for the same store.

Re: Milorganite sale
Just a friendly reminder: April 1st last year this sale started at True Value. There is no mention on the website right now but last year there was nothing either until 4/1. I'll be checking tomorrow morning.

Re: Milorganite sale
Menards pricing does not appear to be nationwide - followed the link above and my price is 12.97. Seems like deals abound if you live NE or upper Midwest but not sure I'll be getting a break in KS. That's why the TrueValue online sale with free ship-to-store was such a deal. If nothing materializes by May I'm going to need to explore other inexpensive fertilizer options. My nearby co-op had cheap Urea - I wonder if they have more balanced fertilizer at at similar pricing....

Guess the garage was looking a little empty (I pulled all the lawn furniture out of the garage over the weekend). I have just the spot for a dozen or so bags.

Re: Milorganite sale
Called my local True value and the guy I talked to was like What's milorganite? I said it's a fertilizer. He said they only carry scotts and some other brand. That was disappointing. Then I called walmart to see if maybe they had a sale going and once again I was met with confusion. The guy went to look and said he onoy had liquid ironite. Guess I'll be going to lowes.

Re: Milorganite sale
As popular as milo is, why every state doesn't have their own version of milorganite is still beyond puzzling - particularly the really liberal/green municipalities like NYC. What does NYC do with all its poop from 8+ million people?

Re: Milorganite sale
Actually, LIGrass, the opposite is true. Somewhere here in the forums I documented a paraphrasing of a conversation I had maybe 5 years ago where I discussed your very question with somebody at the NY DEC. He told me the extreme fringe yells that it is the same as the sewage that can be applied to farms in some places. No legislator has the backbone to call them out on that nonsense, so we NY'ers pay to ship it out of state to other places.
