Pretty good overall. Soil test, sharp blades, water, fertilize, etc. I don't mind the occasional weed now and then although I will hand pull. We get the little purple flowers every now and then and my kids pick them and give them to my wife. This advice is probably better than what the Chemlawn guys will give you.

Exactly. If you consider a dandelion desirable in it's current place, it's not a weed. Sorta like bermuda. ;-)

No doubt. I was the king of dandelions years ago. Unfortunately I didn't desire them! :)

Probably the most common / obtrusive weed around my parts...

Him saying that he would never have allowed a dandelion until his daughters loved and took joy from them is interesting. It's all about what makes you happy as a home/turf owner.

I guess the same can be said about home owners who don't care one way or another if their grass is green or brown. I (and I'm sure everyone else reading this) doesn't understand it, but that is what makes them happy, or least doesn t keep them up all night.
