Local pharmacy should have syringes for administering medicine to kids for $3 or $4.

Amen, Bern!! Keep it simple. I also find it leads to less waste.

IMO the spoons are easier to use and clean. But the syringe is good if you have odd/micro amounts you need to mix.

Re: Need a new measuring syringe for Tenacity
I don't know that you would ever need to measure less than 1/4 of a teaspoon. My measuring spoons go down to 1/8 of a teaspoon.
The syringe that comes with it is terrible. Even for high quality syringes, Tenacity is rather thick. I guess if you go old school with a glass syringe, that would work well, but they are a bit of a pain to use.

Re: Need a new measuring syringe for Tenacity
After spending some time looking through old threads I came across this one. I am in the city so my front yard is apprx 2k sqft. I have laid down Scotts Starter with Mesotrione which highlighted my problem areas. I now would like to spot treat these areas but with liquid tenacity and would prefer to only to mix up half a gallon as I have likely 300 sqft at most to spray. To mix up only a 1/2 gallon would be apprx .27 Teaspoon = 1.33ML . Which limits me to likely using a syringe from Walgreens or CVS to calibrate to that small of dose.
Am I better off just trying for half a .55 teaspoon per gallon instead? How potent of a dose would that be and how soon could I reapply based on this dosage?

You could mix like you said the 1/2 tsp with a gallon and only use half of it. It is wasteful but if you only have a very small area an 8 oz bottle of tenacity would likely last your lifetime.

Re: Need a new measuring syringe for Tenacity
You get a syringe that's akin to the ones you'd buy at Walgreens or CVS when you buy the small bottle. Totally normal measuring out small doses.fall50 wrote: ↑May 10th, 2017, 10:53 pmAfter spending some time looking through old threads I came across this one. You'll be fine mixing up a small batch and spot spraying. Normally when you spot spray it's a bit heavier rate anyways because you're only targeting weeds and a few immediate neighbors - not every plant in your lawn - the damage is far easily recovered from.
