Re: What height are you mowing at?
I'm at 3.5" currently. With my no-name KBG I find that the color suffers too much when I cut any shorter.

Re: What height are you mowing at?
Front/sides NoMix was at 3". Just mowed it today to 3.5".
Backyard TTTF/KBG still at 2.5". Next mow I might bump it up to 3". I will see how the weather is and decide. I like the short HOC.

I'm at 3" but 3.5" looks better especially when striping but fungus season is here so need things to dry out quicker

Re: What height are you mowing at?
3.25" in the backyard, when the seed heads brown out I'll go back down to 3" ( a good idea from someone on this site )
All the way up to 3.5" in the front hell strips that bake in the sun all day and I have to water them by hand.

Re: What height are you mowing at?
I've found that my mower cuts the grass at different heights at different sections of the lawn due to slope and uneveness of the ground in certain sections. I've stopped fussing about it. My mower has 5 settings - I call it 1 - 5 with 1 being shortest. 1 is scalping, 2 I don't use it, 3 is fall height and I'm at 4 right now. Sometimes I do 5 but it's too shaggy a day or two after a cut. Setting # 3 is about 2 - 2.5 - 3" depending on the section of the lawn and I'm guessing setting #4 is 3 - 3.5, some sections probably even 4". I just keep it simple for now and just mow at #4 as it's the best HOC for the lawn's current density.

Re: What height are you mowing at?
About 3" for me, whereas everyone else in my neighborhood is mowing their lawn the golf course style, some of theirs appear almost white with some yellow mixed in.

Re: What height are you mowing at?
Since the overseed last fall, I am trying to encourage tillering by mowing shorter than I usually do. 2 3/8" so far this spring (also using PGR), but now will let it go to 3" or so, at least until the seedheads are gone.

Re: What height are you mowing at?
I have alternated between 3.5 and 3.75 which seems to be too long...I left it at 3.5 over this weekend given the heat we were getting, but will see what it looks like a bit shorter as everyone seems to be mowing shorter than I am....

Re: What height are you mowing at?
I have my mower height set at 3.5" I have very uneven ground so in some spots this measures out to 2.75" on the low end and 4.25" on the high end.
Last year I had no clue what I was doing and was absolutely scalping the lawn. From just 2 short months of mowing higher, overseeding on April 1 and fertilizing per ST6 soil analysis my lawn is making an outstanding comeback. Attacking weeds is on my fall agenda.

Re: What height are you mowing at?
I've been mowing the front at 3.75" at which height I'll probably leave it for the remainder of the summer, unless it grows too long between mowings, in which I can go up to 4.25". I've been mowing the side yard (renovated in Fall 2015) at 3.25" instead.

Re: What height are you mowing at?
4" in sunny weather; 3.5" if it looks like it will be a rainy/humid few days.
