Put down a half-rate of milo. Hope to spray some weeds this weekend. Winter annuals are establishing where my reno failed last fall.

Looked at it, longing to get out and do some work on it. Still snow covered in most parts, though. Hoping this weekend we'll be melted and we can go to work.

Put down Lesco 0-0-7 crabgrass pre-m. Forecast to get a good soaking this weekend.

Prodiamine 65WDG down last night @ .75#/A. Like Riverpilot, we are expecting a good soaking starting tonight and through the weekend. I don't have an irrigation system so I wanted to take advantage of the rain, even if it may be a little early for the Milwaukee area.

Used a tracker when putting it down... who says KBG is slow to green up? :P

Dropped Anderson's Dimension .25 DG at 4.6 lbs/k in the front and back yard based on GDD of 256 (base 32) in Madison, WI. Like the previous poster probably a bit early but with the highest rate should last at least 4 months. Expecting rain tonight and for a few more days.

Got the prodiamine down in the backyard. First time spraying. It took way longer than granular obviously but should be worth it for longer protection. Sectioning off 1000 square foot portions took awhile too. Hope I didn't kill the grass!

Spot sprayed some random weeds with wbg plus crabgrass and wild garlic and star of Bethlehem with sulfentrazone. We'll see how it's goes.

Google maps recently updated my neighborhood, so I decided make myself a handy spray map for this weekend's pre-m activities.

That's awesome Chrismar! I'll be showing that to my wife tonight so she can reconsider her comments about my spreadsheets and watering diagrams!

Well I had two days of no digging at least but yard was torn up again today. So glad I reno'd for the freaking raccoons

I've tried to be humane about this but I have no choice at this point

T, have to agree with you. There is a point where the destruction of property is over the top and you have to do what you have to do. As an example here, I live next door to where I grew up. There used to be hunting for a week or so but they stopped that in the 70s. The result is total destruction of habitat now.

I found myself with a half hour to kill this evening so I did what any self respecting lawn nut would do: I raked out the last remaining bits of snow to encourage it to melt by tomorrow morning. There's a first time for everything....

Although I can't same I'm a nut yet, I did the same thing. I gave the snow plenty of time to melt now I have things to do this weekend and it has to go.

Finished trimming the last of the trees and defining the last of the mulch beds. Have 5+ cu yds of soil from all the chunks of sod that were cut out when making the beds over the past few weeks. Plan on tilling it and using it to level low spots in the lawn this year. Measured area of all mulch beds and plan on spraying prodiamine+isoxaben in bed areas only tomorrow in-between rain showers. Took soil samples of lawn. Chatted with next door neighbor and was surprised when I told him I'm planning on killing the whole lawn in a few months.

2017 season has officially started for me. Cleaned up the lawn and sprayed Prodiamine this morning. :yahoo:

Used the Earthway S25 to spray Dimension at .37 oz per 1000 sq ft. Went well. Sprayed the brick patio too, does a great job keeping weeds and grasses from growing between bricks. Spot seeded areas (where I didn't use dithiopyr) and used Starter fert with mesotrione.
