Edged, mowed and blowed yesterday. The triclopyr I sprayed a week ago seems to have eradicated 95% of the clover problem areas. A follow up spray will happen Sunday (time permitting). KBG seed heads galore, so I guess I should hold off on the PGR (again). Grr.

I know Triclopyr is a slow-kill, but man this waiting game is tough...Today is day 5 and the wild violet doesn't look like it was sprayed with anything at all. This lawn improvement stuff is really going to develop my patience, huh?

Re: 2017: What did you do on your lawn today?
Wild violet is a slow kill with triclopyr. I had quite an infestation of wild violets (see http://aroundtheyard.com/forums2/viewto ... t=#p235997 and http://aroundtheyard.com/forums2/viewto ... t=#p236072 ). The first application of triclopyr didn't really seem to have much visible effect, but with a second application two weeks later, the wild violets were defeated and only lone plants came back the next year.

Re: 2017: What did you do on your lawn today?
I've been trying to fill in my renovations and i've just used tenacity over the past 2 years really. Time to lock it down and let the KBG fill itself in and push out the others (I have random stuff growing everywhere). Lawn looks good but to someone who knows what they are looking at would pick it apart. So, Prodiamine went down today on my front reno with coverage until September. Backyard (2016 Reno) prob has another 2-3 weeks before it can take a dose of prodiamine so cheers to some crabgrass!

Got in a cut last night (HOC 3.25") - lawn was very tall from last week's Urea app. Also dropped another 1lb/k of Urea. Like bauer time says above, looks like about 2" of rain coming to help water in the Urea. The BLSC/KH will need to wait until next week

Mowed and edged.
Then i finally burned the giant pile that had built up from all the branches that had fallen from storms since last fall. It had been way too long.

Finished planting and filling in a landscape bed in the front of the house. If I have one more relative tell me "to call the lawn service and they will spray the "water grass" (quack grass) and it will all go away I'm going to lose it! Just have to nod your head and go along with it. You lose them at rhizomes.

Mowed, edged. Also found and picked up some free rocks, mini-boulders, on craigslsit to be used in different areas around the landscape.

2" of rain yesterday. Yard is currently a swamp. Nice sunny weather in the forecast so it should dry out quickly. Hoping to mow again mid-week.
