So we sold our house and we're giving it up on March 2nd. I will miss it.

Look on the bright side, maybe you can move into a house with an even bigger lawn now!

That's pretty sharp looking.

Where are you going next?

I hate to see people leaving their yards, after putting so much effort into them. I followed and watched your progress to the end. You did a great job. Good luck on the next soil horizon.

Look at it this way, I'm sure your lawn helped sell your house...just don't drive by it later this year :)

Thanks for the kind words LoneRanger and all the compliments everyone. Yes NCLG your posts, and HLG's as well, with regards to moving and leaving your beautiful lawns have prepared me mentally as well for this moment.

On to the next! Some pics of the new place from the realtor listing. We move in on the 24th but it's all covered in snow still. The front lawn is a compromise. Not much of a lawn but bigger backyard for the little one and an underground sprinkler system!

You're going to love that sprinkler system, and so will your kid!

Just in time for spring soil samples! (That is, if you're not still shoveling up there....)

Wooh! Congrats. It'll be fun to see the transformation of the new lawn (not that it's looks bad but you know, ATYers can't just have a "good" lawn!)

Thanks guys! Yeah we still have snow cover and the ground is still frozen solid. Maybe in April I can take soil samples.

I'm so excited for you!
Your lawn is definitely one of the most inspiring to me

P.s. what kind of tree is that at your old home I love it.

So...I feel a bit like a creep for doing this but I had to go visit my old lawn as it was only a couple blocks away. It's tough to look at your new crappy yard and see your previous lawn looking nice and pretty. I'm glad it recovered nicely from the fungus last year. Hell strip's looking pretty fugly for some reason...

So... will your new lawn be a part of Fall Reno class of 2017?

Sadly no... I have the seed but the wife vetoed it hard. It will be in class 2018. I have some pots going for cultivar selection and will probably start working on some levelling this year as well as whatever soil amendments will be needed as per my soil test... at least I can work on getting the crappy grass to get nice and healthy for a good kill next year.. can't wait to have the best lawn on the block and kill it to see what the neighbors say lol
