I'll try the 2:1:5 ratio and see how it goes. I don't have any large clumps, more of singles here and there so hopefully its effective. Even if i do make a hole i'm looking to push some PGR this year so hopefully they will fill in quick.
I also have quack but i haven't ID that in mass yet so i'll tackle one weed at a time. This orchard grass really stands out in my lawn due to the lime green color against my KBG backdrop.

Re: Painting weeds with Glyphosate...
I just spent about an hour this weekend with a small paintbrush hitting some sort of grass that probably came from the hay bales that were used to stop erosion. I used about 2/1 ratio of water to 41% RU concentrate with a dab of tracker. I find the tracker makes it easy to see how much I applied to each plant. I try to get a dab on each blade of grass if possible.

The tracker is a good idea! I'll add some to my mix!

Look who i stumbled upon in the reviews!tlinden wrote: ↑April 5th, 2017, 4:04 pmHLG is the crazy one who used Q tips. But he's got one of these now (and so do I, worth it!):

Now obviously a q tip will be even more specific on what gets painted but I'm not gonna go that far lol

I'm still enjoying my brush. I need to do more painting with it, but I reduced the quackgrass by about 70% with 3 trips earlier in the season. If I keep this up, I think I can get it "all" in another year with very little herbicide usage and time invested. (I say "all" because we all know there's always a weed you can't see....)

Re: Painting weeds with Glyphosate...
Just got my Brush in the mail yesterday. My wife just shook her head at me, but really, it can't be worse than when i was painting with blue rubber kitchen gloves...
