Possible change to Encap Fast-acting Lime

Post by Green » April 14th, 2017, 12:17 am

I noticed in the store there were two slightly different looking bags of Encap Fast-acting Lime. One that's light purple like it has been right along. And one that's dark purple, which I assume is the newer packaging.

Now, I couldn't open the bags and inspect the product in the store obviously. And I didn't purchase any. But I decided to see if I could feel for any differences through the bag, because the newer bags seemed to be emphasizing "Pelletized". And it did feel like those bags might contain a coarser product. One of the things I liked a lot about the Encap Lime was that it's a small granule, making it easy to spread evenly.

I didn't read the ingredients to see if anything more had changed.

Anyone tried the new dark purple bags?

Update, and it's good news...

I bought and used a bag last month. It no longer says "pelletized for ease of use", and the particles are fine again.
