I don't think these claims are new but I came across this and found it interesting.

The article uses compost and fertilizer interchangeably.

It's hard to take the article seriously when it can't get that right.

I'm not sure what is worse, the article or the website.

I agree. But there are certainly interesting statements made.

Sounds conspiracy to me by Monsanto aka Scott. They might be feeling pressure from milo sales.

I don't use Milo in my vegetable garden because of this. Its lawn and shrubs only for my yard.

If you read the sources:

"Lost sales of Milorganite, disposal of contaminated product and cleanup of the recreation fields cost MMSD nearly $5 million. To prevent another incident of contamination, the fertilizer is tested daily, said Sharon Mertens, MMSD director of water quality protection."

Also, one of the sources was a study on sewage plants in South Africa. Now I have nothing against them but I'm pretty sure the EPA is stricter here in the USA than the South African equivalent.

I stopped reading after the first sentence. "Shampoo chemicals" in my tomatoes are not an incidental, I spray shampoo ON my tomatoes*.

* OK, I make my own shampoo, but still...that just means I know what every chemical in there is, why it's there, and what it does. Also, I'd do this IF I had tomatoes, which I don't. But I do have some eggplant and a bunch of edible flowers and plants.
