Re: Need help weed ID
Did you seed last year ?? I also have it all over my yard in my front lawn, my side yard and back as well. I'm not saying that it's KGB in your case cuz I don't know but in my case it has to be KGB it is way to wide spread in my lawn and I did a reseed last year.

I did a complete Fall 16 renovation, so yes, brand new yard. I didn't do any pre-emergence this spring because I had to fill in some bare spots (I also did an overseed).Lawnnut wrote: ↑May 20th, 2017, 11:36 amDid you seed last year ?? Re: Need help weed ID
I posted some pictures below to show the difference between Poa annua and KBG seedheads, they are taken from my lawn, KBG is bewitched.
There is one annua seedhead, it's pretty obvious.
Left is KBG, right is Poa annua
Lots of seedheads in bewitched monostand, I thought they don't produce that much.
Close up of KBG seedhead, noticed how thick and fertile it is.

Re: Need help weed ID
Nc state ag dept has a turf Id page that you can use to determine if this is kbg or poa a. You'll have to spend a few minutes to learn about auricle and liguor and such. We can all take guesses, but when it comes down to it, you have the access to the plant to identify.

Hmm, I resized to 1600x1200, not sure why they are not bigger, I will reload them later.

Re: Need help weed ID
Maybe because maximum size on the website is 800X600? Could that possibly be it?

Re: Need help weed ID
My thought is that guessing (and I believe it is guessing) from a picture is a fools errand and the only worse thing is believing those that guess. I can look at my own lawn and spot Poa Annua or Poa Triv in a second, but in a picture it is like I'm looking at something from Mars. Notice that almost none of the members with 5000+ posts guess. That should tell you something.Andy do you have any thoughts on the pictures, I post are KBG or annual poe ? Just want to get your opinion .
