Best OTC for Step 1 in Triangle Approach?
Despite putting down a pre-M barrier, I am going to need to broadcast spray for weeds. My question is what is the best OTC product for step 1 in the "Triangle Approach"?
Ortho WBG + Crabgrass Control
2.13% Quinclorac, 6.42% 2,4-D, 0.60% Dicamba
RoundUp for Lawns
3.85% MCPA, dimethylamine salt, 1.80% Quinclorac, 0.43% Dicamba, dimethylamine salt, 0.22% Sulfentrazone
Spectracide Weed Stop Plus Crabgrass Killer
3.74% 2,4-D, dimethylamine salt, 1.79% Quinclorac, 0.43% Dicamba, dimethylamine salt, 0.22% Sulfentrazone
I have a collection of different weeds right now, including clover.

Forget the concept of "best OTC" -- it will do nothing except pick your pocket.
The first level of the Triangle is best served with a product that is based around a very broad herbicide that contains 2,4-D and maybe a couple of complementary herbicides (often called a 3-Way). This time of the year, the addition of Quinclorac (for crabgrass mostly) makes a little sense too.
Look for any product with 2,4-D along with Dicamba, MCPP, and maybe Quinclorac. Brand names are not very important - read the ingredients.

Thanks Andy. It was a last minute decision this afternoon to broadcast spray this weekend which is why I am looking at an OTC product. The Ortho seems closest as it has the 2,4-D and 2 of the 3 complementary herbicides.

There is nothing wrong with the Ortho product, other than being a tad expensive. But if you want to get good at this game, try to make it a point not to get forced into a last-minute decision in the future. Learn to always be 3-4 weeks ahead of the game.

Lowes has Ortho WBG + Crabgrass Control 32 oz RTS or concentrate for 2 for $12 this week. Doesn't get any cheaper than that.

Thanks TimmyG! Heading to HD to get a price match since Lowes is a hike.
