Dollar Spot Fungus - wait it out or drop some N?

Post by nubomb » June 12th, 2017, 11:35 am

I have about 2 acres, no irrigation in North NJ. Going through this heat wave, not sure it's a good idea to drop at half rate some slow release fertilizer once the heat breaks on Wednesday? Fungus is pretty apparent throughout entire yard.

I applied fertilizer about 8-10 weeeks ago (didn't do a winter/fall regime) and started triangle approach -only did 2 applications for general weeds properly spaced. I cut at 3.5 inches and just bought new blades.

I don't want to over stress the lawn. Should I just try and wait out the fungus instead, since I don't have irrigation? Don't want to use a fungicide unless I absolutely have too.
