Miloranite spill clean-up technique...

Post by jglongisland » August 14th, 2017, 10:17 pm

So I got lazy and filled up my Earthway in the middle of my front lawn, walked back to the garage to throw out the bag and saw a mountain of gray under the spreader. I spent about 30 minutes sweeping, scraping, etc. as experience has shown it has enough water soluble N to give quite a burn.

As I was blowing after mowing I took the blower to the area and low and behold, its the perfect tool to dissipate a fertilizer spill. Only took about 15 years of taking care of my own lawn to figure that one out.

I used a shop vac on my fert spill this spring, and it did a passable job - but it still left enough to kill a spot. Came back fine of course.

It was DAP not milo though.

+1 to the leaf blower to spread out a fertilizer spill!
